During the period of investigating the topic of my Critical Paper, I was approached by a potential client and asked to design the brand identity for an assessment and one-to-one tuition support centre for people with Specific Learning Difficulties (SpLD), including dyslexia and the other conditions that have co-occurring literacy and organisation problems. As this is a new business, I was given the opportunity to start from scratch with the company’s branding.
I set to work on a variety of logo scamps, finally selecting one ‘GoLexia’, which incorporated an in-depth degree of colour theory based upon readability versus aesthetics. As well as a design that would promote positivity into an area regularly associated with negativities.
The branding included a set of stationery including business cards (and sleeves), letterhead, invoice, compliment slips as well as advertising products such as flyers and posters.
